• Collaborate with Engineers from District One Stop Centers and one of the City of Kigali in suitability analysis during the identification and acquisition of developable land bank for housing projects;
• Propose proper land use and clear mechanism of Land pooling and readjustment where housing projects are to be developed;
• Spatial Planning of housing projects in Urban areas of Rwanda and ensure the compliance of master plans;
• Develop detailed land subdivision plans for new housing projects;
• Develop an organizational structure for collection, entry, retrieval and management of housing and construction related data on housing projects;
• Monitor the effective use of acquired land for housing projects and advise the management on the way forward;
• Collaborate with Housing Financial Specialist and Neighborhood Design Senior Engineer in attracting and/or negotiating financial mechanisms with a variety of development partners in line with affordable/social housing program;
• Facilitate investors in affordable/social housing projects on land,
• Assist and advise investors in site identification, topography analysis and site plan development of their housing projects
• Spatial monitoring of the progress of Land Husbandry practices in all LWH/RSSP sites
• Land cover/land use mapping of all LWH/RSSP sites
• Linking DIF data and M&E and Marketing data (Mapping Production for each SHGs and zones and related analysis).
• Using Remote Sensing to assess the marshland conversion to Rice fields by using Modified
Normalized Difference Water Index (MNDWI)
• Applying GIS and/or Remote Sensing to assess the impacts of Project on soil erosion reduction by applying the Revised Universal SoilLoss Equation (RUSLE)
• Assisting DIME (Development Impact Evaluation Initiative) and M&E to choose the best control sites for LWH Phase 2 sites.
• Devise and support participatory land-husbandry implementation modalities by reviewingprevious agro-climatic zonation, climatic reports, topographic realities and land-husbandry studies at district level.
• Identifying catchments components and developing land husbandry site development plans
• Integrate and guide the relevant staff of the district in the delineation and the implementation of the entire sub-watershed of the project site and boundaries of the water source catchment assessment and the command area;
• Conducting survey and providing work completion report for land husbandry works for each site;
• Surveying and provision of gross and net production area in each site
