
I am a B.Sc. ICT Management graduate (second class upper honours) from Maseno University with over 6.5 years experience in Labware LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems) configuration, installation and deployment. I also have vast knowledge in integrating of HIMS systems and interfacing of Laboratory Instruments to the LabWare LIMS system.
I have been involved in several projects in the Public Health Hospital laboratories and Private Clinical and Non-Clinical Laboratories involving Project Management, Instrument Interfacing, LIMS Configuration using LIMS BASIC and SQL Queries, Integration to External Systems, Dashboard and User Interface (Screens) design, Project Report Writing, gap analysis, System Testing and Deployment.
This experience has also made me proficient in SQL Server, SQL Queries, Crystal Reports, LIMS Basic programming language, FireDaemon, Dashboard Design, Instrument Interfacing, System Integration using RESTful , Json and SOAP API's and also in Project Management.
I have Prince2 Agile knowledge and certification, that has improved my Project Management skills by combining the flexibility and responsiveness of agile with the governance of Prince2
I have ITIL Foundation Certification which has cemented my skills in ICT customer service management best practices which includes my Help Desk support skills.

Roles and Responsibilities
· Developing Labware LIMS functional and/or technical design specifications based on customer needs and requirements.
· Leading, coaching and directing project team members made of LIMS consultants.
· Gathering and analysing business requirements and objectives, perform fit/gap analysis, and provide recommendations.
· Configuration of Labware LIMS V7 Public Health template to fit the Public Health Hospitals’ needs.
· Interfacing of Lab Instruments with LIMS to send test requests and fetch results hence ensuring integrity of the results.
· Interfacing the LIMS system with the HIMS to automate the requesting of tests from Clinicians/Doctors, hence ensuring non-duplication of work

· Project Manager Rwanda Forensics Laboratories where I am Leading a team to implement LabWare LIMS for the institution.
· Project Manager AAR Hospital where I led a team in the Implementation of the Clinical Health Template.
· Team Leader at Gertrude’s Children’s Hospital where I configured and Implemented LabWare LIMS
· Project Manager at Tanzania Ministry of Water project where I led a team in implementation of the Water Template of LabWare LIMS.
· Project Team member at Agriculture Research Council South Africa LIMS Project, where I was engaged in Instrument Interfacing, Analysis configuration, Integration to MS Dynamics AX and Gap Analysis.
· Project Manager in Kenyatta National and Referral Hospital (KNH) LabWare LIMS project where I led a team to achieve the automation of the KNH Laboratories thus improving result accuracy while reducing patient wait times.
· Lead consultant in The Nairobi Hospital LabWare LIMS project, where I interfaced LabWare LIMS with Kranium HIMS, Fiorano BUS and currently Vitro EMR system using both staging tables and HL7 web services.
· Upgraded and enhanced the current rolled-out LabWare Public Health LabWare LIMS system from V6 to V7, thus improving the user experience using friendly and dynamic visual workflows.
· Interfacing of both ‘Dumb’ and ‘Smart’ clinical laboratory instruments with LabWare LIMS using Labstation, ASTM and HL7 protocols to achieve automatic transmission of results from the instrument into LabWare LIMS.
· Led a LIMS Consultants team in gathering User Requirements for Tanzania Ministry of Water (Tz MoW) for 16 sites which are due for automation.
· Team Leader in Rwanda Standards Board (RSB) Project for the upgrade of their LIMS system in the National Quality Testing Laboratory Division.
· Instrument Interfacing Lead at the Defense Reference Laboratory in Abuja, Nigeria. Interfaced 13 Lab Instruments with LIMS.
· Lead Consultant at MRC/UVRI & LSHTM Uganda Research unit laboratories LIMS configuration, deployment and support project, Including instrument interfacing. Sites included Entebbe, Masaka, Kyamuliba and Mengo.
· Other sites that I have been a project team member are Kenya Bureau of Standards, Burundi Ministry of Health hospital Laboratories (4 sites), Kenya Ministry of health Hospitals (27 sites), Nairobi Hospital, Kenya Defense Forces Memorial Hospital and Rwanda Biomedical Center.
