Accomplishments

  • Managed a 300-million-naira budget to develop and execute an integrated marketing strategy (print, OOH, radio, internal, digital, third-party platforms) for seasons 1 and 2 of Wema Bank's "Transact to Win" promo, which led to a 20% increase in card issuance, a 30% acquisition rate, and a 40% increase in USSD adoption
  • Project managed communication campaigns for various retail products (USSD, Card, SME Banking, Royal Kiddies etc.) of Wema Bank which earned the bank number 2 spot for leaders in retail banking on the KPMG Nigerian Banking survey.
  • Led the “ALAT Digital week” campaign for Wema Bank which resulted in 37.12% increase in transaction count within 3 months. The bank was also able to record a 12.7% increase in customer acquisition within the same time frame.
  • Initiated and led the communication strategy Wema Bank Hackathon for Kids “Kids Innovation Challenge” which led to a 30% increase in the Royal Kiddies account acquisition as well as 10% transaction increase.
  • Planned and coordinated the production and deployment of a television commercial campaign tagged 'Bank of the Future' for Wema's 75th anniversary and ALAT @3 Reaching over 1m customers, this was also amplified across other channels such as billboards, radio, influencers & third-party sites, blogs etc. to create awareness, drive acquisition, and change brand perception.
  • Developed the communication strategy for ALAT at 5 ‘Be Audacious’ campaign” a first of its kind customer acquisition drive with popular musician & brand ambassador “Davido”. This grew the bank’s customer base by over 500,000 in 24 hours.
  • Created and deployed targeted communication campaign working with the Customer Life Cycle Team for Wema Bank’s female proposition SARAbyWema to increase awareness and adoption for women specific initiatives such as health scheme, single digit interest loan for women, SME trainings which led to 20% acquisition and grew the community to 5000 engaging and active members.
  • Successfully led the launch of Wema Bank’s SME Business school inaugural and subsequent campaigns which led to over 15,000 registrations and moved the bank up to Number 3 for SME on the prestigious KPMG Nigerian Banking Survey
  • Developed a leadership Visibility framework to help manage perception and drive thought leadership for Wema bank leveraging key executives of the bank.
