Technical skills Coaching and training farmers in Good Agriculture Practices (GAP) including post-harvest handling and storage Since 2008, he has worked with the Ministry of Agriculture through the former RADA in coaching farmers and staff in different activities such as GAP where he participated in development of many GAP training Manuals; and recently. He was also part of the team, which initiated Crop Intensification Program (CIP). Since 2013 as post-harvest Specialist in PASP (Post-Harvest and Agribusiness Support Project), the main responsibility is coaching and training farmers in post-harvest operations in general and link them with premium market. Post-harvest handling and treatment As Post-Harvest handling advisor in CNFA/HINGA WEZE Project. More to that he got relevant practical experience in maize production, harvest and post-harvest handling. Moreover, to be able to coordinate all harvest and post-harvest activities, He has developed skills in monitoring, evaluation and Learning. The Accountability of each staff was the key success of the project. Working with donor funded project and Private sector Since 2009, He worked with the Ministry of Agriculture through different projects including the Post-Harvest and Agribusiness Support Project funded by IFAD and USAID related projects; where he developed a strong understanding of working model of a donor-funded project. He has also worked with private sector especially maize aggregators such AIF, Kumwe Harvest, EAX and MINIMEX. Experience in coaching and mentoring farmers are key to his career as he is working with farmers and junior staff involved in rural economic development and farm field school where he is promoting cascade approach.
