Teamwork and effective communication

In ICU, I work closely with a multidisciplinary team—doctors, nurses, respiratory therapists, and laboratory staff—where clear, timely communication is critical. I actively participate in structured handovers and ward rounds, ensuring that patient information is accurate, concise, and clearly understood. I often use tools like SBAR to communicate changes in patient condition and support quick clinical decision-making.

During the management of high consequence infectious diseases such as Ebola Virus Disease,Marburg or COVID-19, teamwork becomes even more critical. I strictly follow and promote infection prevention and control protocols, ensuring proper use of PPE and isolation procedures. Communication must be very precise to avoid errors that could lead to transmission.
