- To drive, manoeuvre and re-deploy fire vehicles to the scene of incidents.
- Execute first-line maintenance of fire trucks/fire pumps/equipment/accessories previously used for work before redeploying to the site and on return from the work site document and report all identified faults on the equipment to the supervisor.
- Carry out fire risk assessment at hot work activities to ensure the worksite is made safe before hot work activity commences.
- Maintain continuous fire watch during hot work and /or other related activity that may lead to fire at the worksite.
- Document a summary of daily activities in the duty log and report any unusual events and circumstances to the crew lead or supervisor on duty.
- Undertake drills and physical training exercises to maintain the level of physical fitness necessary to carry out all the relevant duties of a firefighter.
