Accomplishments

  • During my 8 years in post-harvest handling, market access and market linkage experience, I have trained 30 field agents that on their turn went to field and train farmers cooperatives in all district of the country so that they can minimize post-harvest losses and have access to premium markets
  • I also helped more than 50 farmers cooperatives in southern and eastern province to minimize their post-harvest losses by training them on drying, cleaning, fumigation and properly storing their maize and beans produce. That significantly increased their income.
  • I managed to preserve more than 30,000 metric tons of maize and beans for the companies I worked for without any post-harvest losses which led to considerable net profits for the company
  • I was part of the team that planned and coordinated the food supply (from the silo I was managing) during difficult times of the lockdown due to covid 19. I supplied 6000 metric tons in different parts of the country.
